IMBODEN, Ark. (AP) — The baseball coach for Sloan Hendrix High School, who abruptly resigned last week, is now the subject of a criminal probe by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.
The Jonesboro Sun (http://www.jonesborosun.com/ ) reports that the coach has not been charged with a crime, and police have declined to comment on why he is being investigated.
Sloan Hendrix Superintendent Clifford Rorex said the former art teacher turned in his resignation last Thursday, and is no longer employed by the district.
