Tom Callan reportingOne survey says about 40 percent of us could do our jobs from home. Are we on the eve of the telecommute revolution?

Thanks to Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), some employers allow employees to work at home, accessing the company phones and data networks.

"Definitely more people are doing it, and I think more people would do it if they were aware of what they could do," said Matt Kimball with Rocky Mountain Voice and Data.

He says the technology is there for CEOs and sales people to work from home. But what about loneliness?

"Your kids could be there to entertain you, and I think I'd rather be working in my pajamas than a tie," Kimball said.

But one architect tell me he needs to be at the office to share his vision.
