OREM — Winning a state championship is special enough.

Winning three state championships, like Pleasant Grove’s Ben Anderson did Thursday night, even more.

Anderson also won his in the midst of a dominant run by the Vikings at UVU’s UCCU Center.

The 132-pound Anderson won his third-straight state title, and Pleasant Grove won its fifth-straight team championship after rolling to 231.5 points — 79 points more than second-place Davis.

Herriman and Syracuse tied for third with 139 points.

Josh Anderson (160) and Koy Wilkinson (170) each added an individual title for the Vikings, and Kaden Sperry finished second at 152.

Davis’ Kade Evans started the finals with a 5-2 win over Bingham’s Coby Vandertoolen to pace the Darts, who held a five-point lead for second over Syracuse at the start of the championship finale. Davis also got a title from defending champ Wyatt Koelling at 195 and a second-place finish from Wyatt Knowlton at 145 to stay in the spot behind Pleasant Grove.

Syracuse’s Bryce Brimhall won the 133-pound title, American Fork’s Cam Hunsaker won at 120 and Cottonwood’s Jacob Knapp won the 126 title before Anderson opened the individual title run for Pleasant Grove.

Jaron Jensen clinched a title for Herriman at 138, and the Cavemen bagged a second individual championship with Morgan Palmer’s gold medal at 145. Jordan’s Tayler Johnson (152), West’s Will Lang (182), Herriman’s Wade French (220) and Lehi’s Brackin Stringham (285) each won an individual championship.
