LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Riley Grabau scored 18 points and Derek Cooke Jr. and Larry Nance Jr. both had double-doubles to lead Wyoming to a 63-55 win over Nevada on Saturday.
Cooke had 14 points and Nance 11 and both had 10 rebounds. Josh Adams added 13 points for the Cowboys (18-4, 7-2 Mountain West).
Tyron Criswell had 17 points and AJ West 15 for the Wolf Pack (6-14, 2-6).
Wyoming closed the first half with a 9-2 run to lead 33-23. West scored six straight points and Michael Perez drained a 3-pointer to pull the Wolf Pack within 45-41 midway through the second half. Grabau ended the threat with a 3 and then the Cowboys made 10 of 12 free throws in the final 2:22 to secure the win.
With Grabau 9 of 9, Wyoming was 21 of 26 from the foul line. Nevada was 11 of 14.
