PROVO — A 67-year-old woman is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle while she was crossing against the light, according to Provo police.

Around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, a woman was crossing against the light to the west side of 900 East when she was struck by a southbound vehicle, Provo Police Department said in a release.

She reportedly had a head injury and she was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

The male driver was “shaken up” according to Lt. Brandon Post, and was not issued a citation. Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
