LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials in Las Vegas say nearly 3.4 million passengers used McCarran International Airport in November, up a robust 2.3 percent from the same month a year earlier.
Figures released Tuesday show that 39.5 million passengers used the airport in the first 11 months of the year, putting it on pace to handle more than 41 million travelers again in 2014.
Passenger traffic is 2.5 percent ahead of 2013, when McCarran handled almost 41.9 million passengers.
The airport handled more than 41.5 million passengers in 2012.
The record was 47.7 million passengers in 2007.
Southwest Airlines remained the busiest carrier in November, followed by United, Delta, American and Spirit.
McCarran is the sixth-busiest airport in the U.S., and the Airports Council International ranked it 24th busiest in the world in 2013.
