OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Richard Gittens scored 21 points, 15 on 3-pointers, and Weber State took control in the second half to post a 73-61 win over Utah Valley on Saturday night.

Gittens shot 50 percent from the field (6 of 12), but was deadly from long range, dropping in 5 of 8 from distance, and from the free throw line (4 for 4). Jeremy Senglin added 16 points and eight assists and Joel Bolomboy and Chris Golden each added 11.

Weber State (4-5) started the game on a 12-0 run, capped by Senglin's 3-pointer, but Utah Valley clawed back to trail by three at intermission. The Wolverines took the lead, 34-31, to start the second half, but Weber State took control with a 9-0 run to make it 50-40 with 12:05 left.

Mitch Bruneel scored 21 points, hitting 9 of 11 from the line, to lead Utah Valley (3-7).
