Lance Bandley reportingA Salt Lake man is under arrest after exposing himself in front of a 12-year-old girl at the Salt Lake library, officers say.
The girl was working on a computer in the young adult section at the library when she noticed a man step out from behind a pillar.
"He exposed himself to her at that point and then pulled his pants down all the way," say Detective Kevin Joiner.
Joiner says Kevin Finch tried to run out of the library but was caught by security. Joiner says this incident is a big concern, because Finch did this in such a public place with so many people around.
"The victim did exactly what she was supposed to do. When she observed this she went and told someone at the library," says Joiner.
Joiner says many times kids will ignore the situation and then tell their parents at home, making it nearly impossible for police to catch the suspect.
