SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A judge has rejected a plea agreement for a Utah man accused of fraud in a case involving bicycles.
Third District Judge Robin Reese says prosecutors didn't work hard enough to make restitution part of the deal Thursday.
Marc Jenson of Nimbus Capital Partners is charged with failing to repay investors millions of dollars from the failed purchase of Brunswick Corp.'s Mongoose bicycle division.
Jenson had hoped to sell bikes to the Mormon church for use by missionaries.
Prosecutors say Jenson was still raising money, even after Brunswick sold Mongoose to Pacific Cycle Inc. of Madison, Wis.
Reese says he's not comfortable approving a plea deal that offered only a promise of repayment to investors. A trial is set for May 27.
