(KSL News) Several construction projects to report this morning. The Utah Transportion Commission has approved 241 million dollars to be used on several road projects.
Most of the money will go to Utah County. Here's the breakdown:
The biggest chunk will go to building a connecter between Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs and the Main Street interchange in American Fork.
About 40 million will be spent widening Redwood Road between Bangerter Highway and U-73 in Saratoga Springs. Another 20 million will go to widening State Street between 100 East in American Fork and Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
State leaders decided these projects are critical to keep traffic flowing during biggest makeover in Utah County. Interstate 15 is set to be reconstructed in 2011.
Then moving elsewhere in Utah:
The Utah Tranportation Commission approved 35 million to widen 4500 South between I-15 and State Street in Murray.
About 27 million will go to widening 700 East between 9400 South in Sandy and 12300 South in Draper.
And finally-- a lot of Davis and Weber residents are excited about the widening of I-15 between 200 North in Kaysville and 31st Street in Ogden. That will cost another 20 million dollars.
