SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah's Office of the Lieutenant Governor unveiled a new voter education website Thursday.

vote.utah.gov is designed as an education and outreach tool for voters with the hope that it will increase voter turnout in elections.

The site includes information about where and when to vote, details about the candidates who are running for office, and other important information that will help answer questions about voting this fall.

Users can even access a sample ballot that is specific to their precinct. They can also sign up for e-mail or text message reminders.

Officials at the lieutenant governor's office say Utahns will be seeing television commercials in upcoming weeks that will introduce the website.
