(KSL News) A woman convicted of embezzling more than $1 million from a Davis County charity likely won't be getting out of prison soon.
Denise Aughney made her first appearance before the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole this week. She told the parole board she "jumped off the deep end," but a board hearing officer countered, saying she made a choice to steal.
That officer said he would recommend Aughney stay in prison another 10 years.
