(KSL News) Customers of Harmons grocery stores donated thousands of dollars to buy turkeys for the Utah Food Bank this season. Today 3,400 of the turkeys were unloaded at the Indian Walk-In Center for distribution.
"Now it's all coming together. We have folks in here getting their birds, and we're just hoping they'll have a good Thanksgiving tomorrow," grocery store co-owner Randy Harmon said.
This is the 10th year in a row Harmons stores collected turkey donations from their customers and matched the donations themselves to feed those who otherwise would go hungry.
