DUCHESNE — Another fire broke out Monday 19 miles south of Duchesne and has destroyed several structures, according to the Eastern Great Basin Coordination Center.
The wildfire, one of more than a dozen since Friday, is estimated to have burned 700 acres of heavy timber and is growing, the Interagency Fire Dispatch Center reported. Called the Church Camp Fire, it has caused the evacuations of the 100 to 150 summer cabins in the area.
Approximately 100 wildland firefighters are on-scene with reinforcements. Four small tankers and an air tanker are en route to assist efforts.
More information will be posted when it becomes available.
