SALT LAKE CITY — Utah is known for its symmetrical streets. But there's one historical neighborhood nearby that has a little more art involved in its planning.
The original developer arranged part of the area's streets in the shape of several roses and named those streets after rose varieties. Because the original roof shingles were red or green, at one time you could actually see a rose from above.
So today we went to see Rose Park's roses, toiled over by master gardener Peter Lassig, who formerly worked at the gardens of Temple Square.
