PLEASANT GROVE — A 40-year-old Pleasant Grove man was taken into custody Monday night after police received a call that a shot had been fired in a home.

Nathan Hilton was taken into custody without incident before 9 by Utah County SWAT. Authorities reported that around 5 p.m., a shot was fired inside the home of Hilton's parents at 395 N. 500 East, prompting his parents to call police.

Police blocked off the area for three hours before Hilton came to the door unarmed. He was taken to the Wasatch Mental Health in Provo. Police said Hilton is a veteran from the Gulf War and suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Police said Hilton has not been charged at this time, and said a number of other firearms were found in the home.
