(KSL News) A fire in South Jordan nearly destroyed a home near the LDS temple.
The home is near 1000 West and 10200 South.
When crews arrived, smoke and flames were seen coming from the rear of the house. It took crews 45 minutes to put out the fire.
There was no one in the house at the time, and there were no injuries.
Firefighters did save a cat that was trapped in the home.
There was approximately $200,000 in damage.
The fire is under investigation.
