MILLCREEK — The Unified Police Department is hoping to track down a man who briefly pulled off a cash register heist at a dry cleaners after he reached into the drive-thru window and grabbed the machine.

The 6 p.m. Saturday robbery didn't prove successful, however, because the culprit was confronted by a clerk at the Clean Express Dry Cleaners, 2945 E. 3300 South, and chased to a neighboring business.

The man then dropped the cash register and his cell phone before running off again and eluding capture, according to Lt. Justin Hoyal.

Police have cell phone in hand, but not their robber. The man is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s or early 30s, of medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and had tattoos on both arms and hair below his lower lip.

Anyone with information is being urged to call the police department at 801-743-7000.
