ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- A 53-year-old male was arrested by St. George police yesterday after he allegedly robbed a bank.
Ricky Gedrites of Mesquite, Nev., is now in the Washington County jail.
Police say Gedrites walked into a U.S. Bank branch and handed the teller a note demanding money in large bills.
The note also indicated Gedrites had a weapon. So the teller handed over the money and Gedrites left.
An alert citizen who saw what happened took note of Gedrites' license plate and car and turned that infomation over to police.
Officers spotted the car heading south on Interstate 15 and made the arrest.
