This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

As Lance Platt, owner of Groove Entertainment Technologies in Salt Lake City, likes to say, "Life is about being connected." Not just with your family and friends but your cable, phone and Internet which is critical in today's world.

Lance started the company only five years ago because some providers were exploring other opportunities and moving away from being TV service providers. So, Lance saw this opening and now Groove is on a roll as the dealer rep for TV, internet, telephone and security service to your home or business as well as hotels, apartment buildings and big sports arenas.

As a society we're so used to TV and video that we may not notice how many businesses have TV monitors in their lobbies which can help reduce wait time stress. A lot of business executives also have TVs in their office, and research shows that March Madness is so popular it costs businesses billions of dollars because employees will take time off to watch. Hey, just have a TV at work and let your employees catch a few games. In fact, order pizza and make it fun.

Groove Entertainment Technologies works with Direct TV and Dish Networks across 50 states in a competitive residential market. However, they have expanded from residential into commercial, installing satellite service for 600 TVs in the EnergySolutions Arena. Groove is also the exclusive TV provider for Boise State, providing sports opportunities for their clientele with both the Utah Jazz and Boise State.

With the explosive success of Groove Entertainment Technologies Lance has been exploring other business opportunities in the entertainment arena.

He has partnered with the Larry H. Miller Company to introduce Utah's first VIP Theater, called "Groove VIP Theater," at the Jordan Commons. This luxury auditorium seats about 60 guests rather than the usual 300 to 400. These are not the regular movie theater seats; they're like plush recliners with gourmet food and a concierge team to serve you at your seat. Lance compares it to flying first class at the movies! How fun!

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
