(KSL News) A 68-year-old woman is found dead in her home. Now Murray police officers say it may be a homicide.
Officers first went to the woman's home near 5200 South 820 East when neighbors reported they hadn't seen her in a few days. When officers arrived, they found the woman dead in her house.
Police aren't sure how long she had been dead.
"It could be a matter of days. We're canvassing the neighborhood at this point to find out who last saw her," said Det. Jeff Maglish with the Murray Police Department.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the woman's death are suspicious enough to make the case a homicide.
The woman's car is missing, and police are asking for help in finding it. It's a white Honda Accord with the license plate number 915 WHY. Anyone who sees the car is asked to call police.
