WEST VALLEY CITY — The story of this little girl, Baylee Page, being reunited with her dad has traveled around the world. Video of the greeting went viral on YouTube, to the tune of more than 100,000 views since Monday night. She even made the Today Show.
Above what we all love about the little girl's bubbly personality, we love the story — and that genuine reaction, caught on camera.
It was a story that prompted Getaway Today to step in Thursday night at the Pages' West Valley City home and help make this wonderful story travel a little bit farther.
"Do you remember where you said you wanted to take your dad, on the end of the video, when your dad surprised you?" Kimberly Fiddler, with Getaway Today, asked Baylee.
"Disneyland!" Baylee replied, without hesitation.
"Well," Fiddler said, "we're here today because we are so grateful for your dad's service, and that we were so touched by your video, that we are going to send you to Disneyland!"
"Thank you!" Baylee said.
She and her family are headed to Disneyland next week before her dad has to go back to Fort Riley, Kan., on Feb. 17, where he's a sergeant in the army.
Until then, the video may continue to get clicks in the virtual world, but this father and daughter have some memories to make at "The Happiest Place on Earth."
