(KSL News) Salt Lake County is branching out with a lofty goal. The plan is to plant a million trees in the next 10 years.
One-hundred-thousand trees would be planted on public lands and incentives to residents and companies would be given to get the remaining 900,000 in the ground.
Yesterday mayors from across the county launched the campaign. They say the program is to help reduce energy bills and greenhouse gases in the air.
