(KSL News) The mother of a five-month-old girl who died from a meth overdose faces serious charges.
Mary Lacey and her boyfriend Raymond Chesley, of Taylorsville, are each charged with desecration of a dead body. In addition, Chesley is charged with child endangerment.
Police found the infant dead inside a house in Murray last December, but investigators suspected the baby did not die there.
Lacey confessed her baby died after ingesting a bag of meth, then she and Chesley moved the baby to the Murray house so police wouldn't search their Taylorsville residence.
