BOUNTIFUL -- A Davis County community honored a fallen firefighter Friday.
The funeral for South Davis Metro Fire Marshall Steve Cox, who died during a training exercise earlier this week, was held Friday morning.
Cox, who was a firefighter for more than two decades, is said to have pushed to the limits nearly every day.
But it wasn't a fire that took his life.
During an Aug. 29 a fitness test, Steve suddenly stopped breathing. Fellow firefighters fought to save him, but he died at the hospital.
