HOUSTON -- Days after a report that Warren Jeffs was in a medically induced coma, he is now reportedly out of the intensive care unit.

Jeffs had been fasting in the Texas prison where he is being housed, causing his admission to the hospital.

A spokesman for the Texas justice department said Jeffs is continuing to get better.

Jeffs is serving a life sentence for aggravated sexual assault. He was convicted of the aggravated sexual assault of two teenage girls whom he claimed were his spiritual wives.
