Lance Bandley reportingDozens of high school students rallied today at the Capitol in support of their teachers, walking around the plaza holding green, red and white signs. They read, " Pay our teachers more and don't cut their benefits."
"We're trying to get our legislature to give more money to public schools," one student said.
Bingham High School senior Taylor Murphy admits some students just wanted to get out of school. However, he says teachers in the Jordan School District have told students that with a freeze on benefits, they will retire after the school year, rather than return.
