(KSL News) -- Clearfield City Mayor Dan Phelps has resigned after just a few weeks in office.
His letter of resignation submitted today cites family and personal reasons.
Phelps was elected in November 2005 and sworn into office just last month.
The mayor pro-tem, Don Wood, will assume Phelps' duties until the city council fills the vacancy.
