(KSL News) A new addition to the Logan City Hall will exceed the national energy efficiency standards.

Logan's Mayor says the 25,000 square foot addition will be built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Silver standards. That's the benchmark of green building.

The work will cost an extra $200,000. Some council members want to make sure LEED building will accomplish more than sending a political message.
