Mary Richards, KSL NewsradioThere's a local and national movement these days to get out-of-shape truck drivers moving. Truckers have one of the unhealthiest jobs in America.
At CR England Trucking they've added two exercise facilities to get staff and truck drivers healthier. John Gogo says the company is trying to get wellness on the minds of truckers.
Gogo says truckers tend to be overweight because they are sedentary and don't eat the best food at truck stops. Some of the health problems drivers are facing include diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
Gogo says CR England has an on-site clinic that sends reminders to the truckers about prescriptions to be picked up, and they have added Weight Watchers to their health program.
Other trucking companies are taking similar measures.
