(KSL News) Summit County officials want to make the road safer for cyclists in Parleys Canyon.
They want to create a bike path that runs parallel to I-80 and connects with State Route 65 at Mountain Dell golf course.
The county government, along with the Salt Lake City government, will pay for a study to determine the feasibility of the trail.
The Deseret Morning News reports that study could get under way in a few weeks and be finished by the end of the year.
