WEST POINT -- Search and rescue crews were dispatched Thursday night to find a missing 12-year-old boy.

Aza Vindihar went missing at 5 p.m. and police began searching for him at around 6 p.m, said Scott Harper, the public affairs officer for Davis County police.

"We're very concerned about his welfare," Harper said. "This is very uncommon for him to turn up missing."

It is believed the brown-haired, brown-eyed boy wasn't wearing a jacket when he went missing. According to Davis County Dispatch, he was wearing a red, "I'm loving it" McDonalds T-shirt, shorts, Crocks and glasses. He's 5-feet 3-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds.

Anyone with information that might help find Vindihar should call the Davis County Sheriff's Office at 801-451-4150.
