(KSL News) A pelican survived a run-in with a power line, but a Cottonwood neighborhood lost power. The pelican was wandering around the neighborhood when he got caught in three power lines and was shocked.

The homeowners heard it happen and ran to their backyard to find the pelican with some black marks on its wings. They took the cover off their pool to let it relax while they called wildlife officials.

The Department of Wildlife Resources was called in to trap the bird and relocate it to safety. The bird is expected to be just fine.
