(KSL News) A Huntsville, Utah family involved in a car crash has lost a third member.

Eight-year-old Esther Howard died today, one day after her mother Janine and 11-year-old brother Mathew. Two other children are in the hospital.

The family was traveling on Highway 89 in Layton yesterday, when a truck drifted into their lane and hit them head-on.

The Howard family issued a statement today, thanking people for their support and blood donations. They also encouraged people to take part in organ donation, which is what they have done. "Our children have been our greatest blessing and now they have the opportunity to be a blessing to others."

Layton Police say the driver of the truck may have been too tired to drive.
