MURRAY -- We're all prone to make spelling mistakes and typos now and then, but there are some occasions when it should never happen. Just ask the winners from the recent Viewmont Elementary School Spelling Bee.

"It's funny ‘cause I won this ‘cause of spelling, and it has a spelling error on it," said third-place winner Kevin Bailey.

Kevin Bailey and his friend James Delliskave, who took the first-place title, each received a trophy. When they got their trophies, the two noticed the word "spelling" was misspelled, with an extra "L."

"It's weird ‘cause it's a ‘spelling' bee," Delliskave said.

Weird, yes; but the boys also think it's pretty cool.

"I don't want it spelled correctly ‘cause it's pretty cool, and it got me on the news," Dellisakave said.
