(KSL News) -- Investigators are crediting a concrete barrier for keeping a bad accident on Interstate-80 this morning from turning into a disaster.

Barriers Keep Bad Accident from Being Worse

Still photos give you an idea of how bad it could have been if the big rig had crossed into on-coming traffic.

The driver of the truck lost control in the slushy conditions, but the concrete jersey barrier kept the out of control vehicle contained.

Injuries were minor, but the crash closed the freeway for about an hour.
