Tom Callan, KSL NewsradioYou've got to do some climbing up I-80 to get to Park City from Salt Lake. How would you like to burrow into the resort through a tunnel? Councilman Joe Kernan is dreaming of a tunnel into Park City as a way of reducing traffic on state route 248 and giving you a gasp when you get there.

"What might be nice is coming through the back door of Park City, go into a tunnel and pop out right across from Park City Mountain Resort," Kernan says.

But he admits the tunnel is just a thought and it won't be cheap. "That means it could be $100 million because it could be two miles." He says his inspiration comes from all those tunnels back home in Pennsylvania.
