(KSL News) Gasoline prices continue to drop. AAA reports the average price for regular gasoline is $2.29. That's 50 cents less than a month ago.

One year ago, Americans paid an average $1.79 for gas.

Analysts say prices are going down because demand is going down, and production is up as refineries repair the damage from Gulf Coast hurricanes.
