SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah men are joining together to make a stand against domestic violence.
The Men's Anti-violence Network of Utah (MAN) gathered at the Salt Palace Wednesday to learn about stopping violence against women and children.
"For a long time these have been considered women's issues, but a number of us men feel that they are everybody's issues. Some of these victims are our sisters, our daughters, our neighbors and our friends; so we needed to get involved too," said Steve Reiher, MAN's program manager.
In 2009, domestic violence-related murders accounted for half of adult homicides in Utah.
