(KSL News) Logan officials have approved a plan to ban smoking in most public places.
Members of the municipal council say the move will send a message that Logan is a health-conscious, smoke-free environment.
Anyone found smoking in parks, cemeteries, and at gatherings with more than 50 people will face a $25 fine.
Police officers said they will issue warnings before imposing the fines.
