SALT LAKE CITY -- Once again, it's time for our Read Today Summer Reading Challenge weekly update:
More than 3,600 students have taken the summer challenge, and they've logged more than 1.65 million minutes. The average student is logging 46 minutes of reading a day.
A KSL viewer sent us a picture of Muir Elementary School sign. It shows students there have the right idea: "Read 20 minutes x 5 days a week" it says.
Monday night we sent notices to our top 100 readers in our July 24th challenge. They're going to Lagoon!
Now for our next challenge: Read like an animal and go to the zoo! We have free zoo tickets for top 100 students who read the most between now and Saturday.
Take the summer reading challenge and register your kids by clicking HERE, so they can be eligible to win prizes.
