SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- An attorney named to oversee the estate of Gary Coleman says the late actor has been cremated.
Attorney Robert Jeffs released a statement late Thursday saying Coleman's remains were cremated at 5:15 p.m. at a mortuary in Sandy, a Salt Lake City suburb.
The statement says the cremation was conducted in accordance with Coleman's wishes that there be no funeral service or other ceremony to mark his passing.
Coleman died May 28 after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 42.
Jeffs has said Coleman's ashes and property will be securely stored until a final determination is made on an estate executor. It's a decision Jeffs said could take months.
Coleman's ex-girlfriend and ex-wife both contend they are the lawful administrators of Coleman's estate.
