SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Post Offices throughout Utah will be open late on April 17 so procrastinators can get their income tax returns in on time.

Twenty-seven Post Offices will stay open until midnight and 28 locations have automated postal centers, which are available around the clock.

People who want to avoid long lines are being encouraged to mail their income tax returns early in the day and to remember to provide the correct amount of postage. First-Class postage is 39 cents for the first ounce and 24 cents for each additional ounce.
