(KSL News) A new media command post is now up and running in Tooele County. The Joint Information Center will be used to disseminate public information during an emergency.
Numerous groups, including Tooele County chemical stockpiling and emergency preparedness services, pitched in $600,000 to upgrade the building so it meets earthquake, media and other emergency standards.
The building also will be used for day-to-day government needs.
