DAVIS COUNTY -- Students filled a Davis County courtroom for an attempted murder trial -- against a pig.
Curly Pig was put on the stand for the attempted murder of the Big Bad Wolf.
It was all part of a mock trial with third-grade students from Farmington's Eagle Bay Elementary. The students played all the roles, including attorneys, the defendant and even the jury.
In the end, the Curly Pig was found guilty.
"This gives them a chance to come into a courtroom, see a judge, actually act the parts," said Second District Court Judge Thomas Kay. "They see a holding cell, they get questions answered and I just think they see what government is."
The mock trial is an annual event, and the verdict has changed each year.
