(KSL News) -- Utahn Robert Redford is one of five artists who will receive this year's Kennedy Center honors.
Redford's recognition comes for his support of independent film.
The others to receive honors at the Kennedy Center event in December will be Tony Bennett, Tina Turner, Julie Harris and ballerina Suzanne Farrell.
