SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The National Park Service wants to hear from members of the public as officials consider raising entrance fees to Natural Bridges National Monument in southeast Utah.
Under a new proposal, those entering the monument in private vehicles would pay $15, up from $6.
Each motorcycle would pay $10, up from a current $3 per person fee.
Those entering on foot or by bicycle would see their rates climb from $3 to $7.
Park officials say the higher fees are part of an effort to standardize fees at parks.
Camping fees would stay at $10 per night.
Entrance fees were last raised in 2006.
Members of the public who wish to comment on the proposed fees can do so at the park service's planning, environment and public comment website.
