Utah football schedule announced

SALT LAKE CITY - The Mountain West Conference office released the league's 2008 football schedule today and has designated 10 Saturday and two Thursday games for the Utes. Utah will kick off its 2008 schedule on Aug. 30 against Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The home opener is Sept. 6 against UNLV. Other home games include Weber State (Sept. 27), Oregon State (Thu., Oct. 2), Colorado State (Oct. 18), TCU (Thu., Nov. 6) and Brigham Young (Nov. 22). Season tickets are on sale now at UtahUtes.com.

All of Utah's conference games, and at least one non-conference game, will be televised. Television and kick times for road games against Michigan and Utah State will be released by their respective conference offices.

With the addition of The Mtn. to the DirecTV lineup this fall, most of Utah's games will be available to a national television audience. In addition, the Utes are guaranteed at least three games on national network television - the Air Force and Oregon State games on VERSUS and TCU on CBS College Sports Network (CBS C).
