TK's All-Access Beijing: Bountiful's Jake Gibb diggin' for gold

KSL's All-World Weatherman Kevin Eubank told me what a great guy Jake Gibb is...so I was fully prepared for that, but it's Gibb's kindness and 'kicked-back' nature made this among the most interesting and enjoyable nights I've had so far in Beijing...and ALL we did was stand and talk for a few minutes. He retold (for about the billionth time, I'm sure) how he somehow got cut from the Bountiful High bkb team way back when, then how he grew to love volleyball, tore up his Bountiful backyard playing it then (after returning from his mission) Jake decided to chuck his business career (his wife Jane, insisted) and go climb the American Pro Beach Volleyball latter until he made it.

Folks, Jake Gibb's made it. From AVP Rookie of the Year...now couple of years later...he along with partner Sean Rosenthal, are ranked in the top 10 worldwide and rolling into these Beijing Games meshing like never before! What I really appreciate is an intelligent interview that has lots of his own zeal. Jake is all that and a spike or two, too!

Let's all pull for a good ol' fashioned Utah good guy who may just grab himself a Gold,Silver or Bronze in his first Olympics!

And he totally went along with the idea to pose with my son's 'ugly doll' to help with one of my family -related missions here in China.
