EAGAN, Minn. — Kirk Cousins has indicated he'd like to be back with the Minnesota Vikings, and the team got a stark lesson about his value this season. The Vikings finished 7-10 and relinquished the NFC North title they won last season at 13-4. Cousins is set to become free agent. His absence from a torn Achilles tendon reinforced the reality there's no other viable option on the roster for the long term. Cousins will also be 36 before next season, and re-signing him would constrict what the Vikings can do to upgrade other positions.
